THE LEADER THAT WE DESERVE.

As I go door to door and visit neighborhoods in the new 99th New York State Assembly District, I hear informative feedback from residents about the opportunities and challenges folks here experience.  The common line throughout is that people want someone to represent them who will listen and be their advocate in Albany. I served as an Orange County Legislator for 12 years. I have first hand experience being a voice for our communities and making sure they get their fair share. As a legislator I was able to abolish an unnecessary municipal tax and managed to keep the tax rate steady and even saw decreases in several years.  I am vigilant in spending your taxpayer dollars, using them in only the wisest and most efficient ways.

 

My motto will be ‘Proud to be Your Assemblyperson’. I have lived in this assembly district for over 45 years, and have had the privilege of teaching locally in the Hudson Valley for 40 of those years. Furthermore, having raised my four children here in the Hudson Valley, I know its beauty, expectations, and challenges. All of which has to be considered for our children and grandchildren.

Today, I realize with a larger district there comes greater responsibility and I am ready to act on the many issues that constituents feel are necessary such as mental healthcare, pro-choice needs, tax reform, affordable housing, senior and veteran needs and many more.
