THE LEADER THAT WE DESERVE.

As I go door to door and visit neighborhoods in the 99th New York State Assembly District, I hear informative feedback from residents about the opportunities and challenges folks here experience.  The common line throughout is that people want someone with real experience to represent them who will listen and be their advocate in Albany.

I previously had a career as a High School teacher for 40 years teaching AP Physics and Earth Science, served as an Orange County Legislator for 12 years, and was a Sons of the American Legion Commander for 5 years.

In each job and role I took on, I have had first-hand experience being a voice for our communities and making sure they get their fair share. As teacher I guided and prepared my students with the leadership, skills, knowledge to make it in the next steps of their lives. As a county legislator I was able to abolish an unnecessary municipal tax and managed to keep the tax rate steady and even saw decreases in several years.

As your Assemblymember, I have fought for the Hudson Valley to make sure we get our fair share. In just 2 years I have secured millions of dollars in funding for our first responders and schools, took on Congestion Pricing and defeated it, and expanded Universal Pre-K and Free School Lunches for our children. I brought key changes to bail reform to keep dangerous criminals behind bars and out of our communities.

I have lived in this assembly district for over 45 years and raised my four children here in the Hudson Valley, I know its beauty, expectations, and challenges. I raised my family here and I will retire here.
